Description
- Develop workforce plans aligned with production schedules, export demand, and seasonal fruit processing cycles.
- Source and manage manpower cooperatives and third-party service providers to meet production line requirements.
- Implement recruitment strategies for production workers, quality control personnel, and warehouse staff.
- Conduct skills testing and food safety awareness evaluation for production hires before deployment.
- Supervise onboarding and orientation tailored for fruit processing operations emphasizing GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Labor Code, DOLE regulations, and Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
- Regularly audit manpower cooperative compliance to minimize joint-employer liability risks.
- Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and labor disputes through structured and documented procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with manpower cooperatives and government labor inspectors.
- Conduct regular labor-management meetings to address productivity and employee morale.
- Supervise timely and accurate payroll processing for both regular and cooperative-based workers.
- Ensure accurate and timely remittance of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding taxes.
- Review manpower cost reports and recommend cost-saving measures while maintaining workforce efficiency.
- Recommend performance-based incentives and retention programs for skilled plant workers and key QC staff.
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for production workers, QC staff, and administrative employees.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to line managers.
- Develop training programs focused on food safety compliance, occupational safety, and leadership development.
- Partner with DOLE-accredited training providers and food safety consultants.
- Formulate, review, and update HR policies and employee handbooks aligned with food industry regulations.
- Maintain confidential personnel records for audit readiness by export clients and regulatory agencies.
- Standardize SOPs for recruitment, discipline, and termination to protect company from labor disputes.
- Oversee compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
- Ensure regular medical examinations, food handler certifications, and vaccination programs.
- Organize employee welfare and wellness programs, such as nutrition seminars and hydration management.
- Conduct safety audits, fire drills, and plant evacuation exercises.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines.
- At least 10-15 years experience in general human resources, with 3-5 years in management
- Expertise in labor relations, recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, training and compliance
- Willing to work on-site
