Description
  • Review tax returns, financial reports, and other documents to be submitted to the client and/or government agencies to ensure correctness and completeness of information vis-à-vis supporting documents, schedules, and financial statements
    and ensuring deliverables are met at a reasonable timeline.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the team being supervised, including workflow
    management, project scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Act as a liaison between team members and management, addressing issues and facilitating open communication to promote a positive work environment.
  • Monitor team capacity to ensure manpower maximization and identify potential bottleneck that might lead to employee burnout.
  • Assists the Associate Director/Director to establish contingency plans to ensure continuity of service to clients and monitors all engagements and activities to achieve service level agreement with the clients.
  • Assists the Director/Associate Director to align strategies to achieve annual revenue growth.
  • Conceptualize new processes and inputs for higher efficiency of the firm.
  • Assists the Associate Director to implement and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Attract, develop, direct, motivate, and drive effective inter-departmental collaboration to proactively resolve gaps in processes.
  • Coordinate with existing clients to gather necessary financial information and prepare
    engagement proposals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality services and exceed client expectations.
  • Retain existing accounts by identifying or anticipating client needs.
  • Executes strategies to meet the set financial goal for the team being supervised through overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team ensuring that service level agreements with the clients are met and the team’s capacity is optimized to meet the forecasted new additional retainer clients and ad-hoc engagements.
  • Assists the Associate Director in identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion, both with existing clients and potential clients.
  • Understands the services and competitive advantage of the firm and its affiliates.
  • Offer existing and future clients services that the firm and its affiliates may render.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals consisting of Senior Associates and Accounting Associates, providing guidance, support and training, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Provide performance feedback by conducting quarterly and annual performance review of Senior Associates and Accounting Associates to consistently monitor their alignment with their professional goals and to evaluate their overall contribution to the company.
  • Introduce and implement programs or projects to maintain strong team morale and team spirit.
  • Cultivates an environment of open communication within the team and within the department, and attends set team meetings.
  • Regularly monitor and anticipate possible risk in employee turnover to identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate such issues or risks.
  • Attract, develop, direct, motivate, and drive performance from the whole team.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director/Director to identify training needs and implement initiatives
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial reporting, BIR compliance, PEZA compliance, BOI
    compliance.
  • Pursue continuing education opportunities, certifications, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership initiatives by participating in industry events and sharing expertise with colleagues through training.
  • Proactively participate in departmental and inter-departmental social events.
  • Represent the team during the Weekly Update Meeting to provide up to date insights on status of services for general bookkeeping, tax compliance, ad-hoc engagements, client issues, employee concerns, and other matters that are beneficial in ensuring service level agreement with the clients are attained and potential risk are identified timely.
  • Assist in preparing data and presentation materials for mid-year review report and strategic planning  presentation.
  • Participate during mid-year review presentation.
  • Deliver ideas and recommendations that will propel the firm to generate new business and maintain the current roster of clients.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines.
  • Must be CPA
  • With at least 5 years of similar experience with tax compliance services and General Accounting
  • Good English written and oral communication skills
  • Good client relationship and people management skills
