Data Scientist/Analyst
Description
We would like to extract knowledge from the wealth of data produced by our websites and tech resource downloads.
Data sources include, but are not limited to:
- Article metadata, such as keywords.
- Google Analytics.
- Tech resource downloads (whitepapers and webcasts, for example).
- Advertising and marketing campaigns.
- IP location data.
The data are both structured and unstructured. The ideal candidate will be able to process this data efficiently and produce reports for both internal staff and external clients. You will be able to produce ETL/ELT workflows that combine multiple data sources, with varying structures and degrees of freshness, and produce insights that are of value to the business.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines
- Good communication and listening skills.
- A willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail.
- Strong experience in SQL, especially the MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Google Standard SQL dialects.
- Strong experience in Google BigQuery.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Working Linux experience (we use Debian stable).
- Good familiarity with version control software such as Git.
- Knowledge of machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) and their applications in data analytics.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with KNIME Analytics Platform or other data analytics platform.
- Working knowledge of HashiCorp’s Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools, especially as they relate to managing Google Cloud Platform.
