
Position title
General Accounting Manager
Description
- Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of accounting related to accurate
recording of revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities necessary in preparing
interim and annual financial statements. To adapt policies and practices associated
to statutory, tax and other finance related business compliances. - Ensures accurate payroll information are generated by HR & Payroll before
making payments. - Ensures that the required statutory compliances are being filed and paid on
timely manner. - Accomplishes, files and pays various monthly and quarterly tax returns with BIR
such as VAT, withholding tax, fringe benefit, income tax including required
schedules using the web based-Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS)
based on timelines indicated in BIR tax calendar. - Attends to requirement related to statutory, internal and tax audits.
- Performs various tasks related to monthly closing of accounts such as:
Monthly sales reconciliation. - Processing, generation and issuance of sales invoices to the Distributor.
- Performs regular booking of cash and other transactions in accordance
with GAAP and in line with monthly, quarterly and annual closing
timelines. - Generates out of SAP System monthly trial balance, financial statements and other related schedules and other reports and submits to Finance Head for review.
- Performs post-closing tasks such as bank reconciliation, preparation of schedules
and analyses of balance sheet accounts. - Manages reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable with
customers and vendors. - Takes active participation in inventory reconciliation and related activities.
- Takes care of price and discount maintenance in SAP and ensures its accuracy.
- Provides necessary financial and other information as may be required by the
Parent company. - Completes other related tasks that maybe assigned from time to time or when the need
arises. - Performs with highest degree of integrity and equally conform to the corporate
code of business conduct and policies on compliance. - Perform to contribute and be part of the winning team through high standard of
performance, self-development and learning.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines.
- College Graduate. Has completed Finance and Accounting course.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Master in Financial
- Management is an advantage.
Work Experience:
- Experience of 5 to 10 years in the field of finance and accounting
with at least 5 years in a senior position gained from a
pharmaceutical or consumer companies. - With extensive knowledge and experience using SAP system and understanding of controls in FICO, SD and MM modules.
- Adequate knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting
Standard) and experience in interacting with various local financial
and reporting regulatory bodies and statutory auditors. - Can manage and handle tax and other regulatory compliances.
- Functional Skills & Work Attributes - Strong planning and organizational
skills, analytical, dynamic and with good interpersonal skills.
