Operations Manager (Food & Beverage Manufacturing)
Description
- Manage overall operations of Raw Fruits Receiving, Non-Puree Production & Puree Production departments.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute operational strategies that are aligned with business objectives.
- To propose and monitor OPEX budget, ensuring justification, request, implementation, reporting and tracking are being conducted by all department.
- Develop and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and drive operational improvement to increase yield, efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement technological operational advancement to optimize processes and improve yield, efficiency and capacity.
- Ensure that raw fruits and production operations are compliant with all relevant regulations and standards (FSMS, cGMP, HACCP, HALAL, FDA, DOLE, DENR) and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as PPIC, Warehouse, Purchasing & Sales to ensure seamless coordination and alignment to operational activities.
- Adherence to production and delivery plan, ensuring lowest possible cost and using limited resources.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to raw fruits, production team, and warehouse fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork & excellence.
- Performs administrative functions such as; Performance Evaluation, Disciplinary action, Training Needs Analysis, approval of leaves, offsetting, and similar task.
- Ensure that organizational culture is in place, adhering to company’s vision and mission.
- Implements the Company Rules and Regulations and recommends disciplinary actions for any violation of subordinates.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time that support the organization’s Mission, Vision, Objectives, Strategies and Core Values.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines
- BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with master’s degree (MBA or Engineering Management)
- PRC License Holder
- 10-year experience in food and beverage manufacturing set-up, 5 years of which in management role.
- 3 years and up in similar role gained from a food or beverage manufacturing companies that are ISO22000 compliant
- Read, comprehend and interpret technical reference manuals, blueprints and P & ID
- Principles and techniques of management, coaching and evaluation
- Safety precautions and occupational hazards in the use of equipment; safe work methods and practices
- Good Manufacturing Practice, Good laboratory Practice, Good Warehousing Practice, ISO 22000
- Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Strong Technical, Communication and Leadership skills.
- Analytical skills in problem solving
- Highly experienced in operational maintenance activities
- Ability to communicate with different department within the plant (EMD, Quality, Finance, HR, Warehouse, etc.)
- Root cause analysis methodologies (LEAN six sigma, FMEA)
