Regional Sales and Marketing Manager

I. General Purpose or Primary Function

Under the direction of the Executive President and General Manager, and the supervision of the National Sales and Marketing Manager, is partially responsible for ensuring the achievement of Business Objectives in the assigned region are achieved by monitoring and supervising the Zonal Sales Managers in the execution of demand-creation and trade channel management plans and supporting them to achieve their goals. Establish business plan, create demand and trade channel management plan, and, facilitate development of sales team in the region.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a business plan for assigned region inclusive of the following:

    • Sales plan - per hybrid with top-line and bottom-line values
    • Demand-creation activities plan for the region to ensure achievement of the region’s product liquidation objectives.
    • Trade channel programs and activities plan.
  • Propose training plan for Zonal Sales Managers and regularly coach them to ensure succession planning.
  • Aid the top management in developing the commercial strategy for the assigned region.
  • Lead in the preparation of periodic regional market development reports.
  • Spearhead the implementation of new projects such as expansion crops and other initiatives, and, periodically evaluate outcome.
  • Conduct market reading, research, analysis and updates to the management.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Admin, Commercial Agronomy, Quality, and HR on related activities for support of operations.
  • Representation with government agencies regarding company programs and agricultural data.
  • Evaluate performance and recommend developmental needs for all subordinates.

II. Organizational Relationship

  • Supervision Received: Reports to the National Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Supervision Exercised: Zonal Sales Managers
  • Internal Relationship

    • In addition to immediate superior, has regular contact with the Human Resource for personnel hiring and deployment; Finance for collection/sales; Commercial Agronomy for demo seeds and crop tours, and Admin for deliveries and pull-out of stocks;
  • External Relationship

    • Have external contacts with distributors, dealers, big land owners, and financiers for sales and collections; and government institutions for programs and data.
  • Graduate of Agriculture, Agribusiness, or any Business course or related field.
  • With more than 5 years of experience in a sales and marketing position, preferably in Agriculture Market (seeds, chemicals, fertilizers, feeds, etc.); with at least 3-5 years experience in management roles.
  • Must possess written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Must have effective presentation skills and be customer-centric.
