Description

The Assistant Manager – Client Accounting oversees the bookkeeping and financial preparation for a portfolio of client accounts. The role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reports while providing guidance and review support to junior accounting staff.

  • Manage account distribution of new and existing clients (and reallocation, if necessary) and regularly monitors the status of each of the accountant's portfolio of clients, ensuring all client entity accounts and reports are delivered on time to meet client and regulatory deadlines, while investigating any delayed accounts or unbilled jobs.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of team’s deliverables, ensuring all client entity accounts and reports are accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
  • Conduct overall review of other teams' deliverables, ensuring all client entity accounts and reports are accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
  • Report monthly performance and progress towards targets to the Philippine Office Head, as well as relevant stakeholders, including the assigned client administrator for each local office/team.
  • Review staff timesheets and SG Accounting WIP for quarterly billing, ensuring accurate client recoverability and proper billing of all accounts in a timely manner.
  • Spearheads team discussions to address client accounting issues, fostering solution-oriented discussions and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance of the Client Accounting team of the Philippines branch with Group policies and procedures.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality, including creating and updating templates.
  • Manage and supervise employees, assigning tasks and providing training, coaching and development to support their growth, enhance motivation and ensure alignment with standards.
  • Develop implement, monitor, review and update performance metrics to improve productivity, eliminate inefficiencies and enhance the accuracy of work performed by the Client Accounting team of the Philippines branch.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment to encourage effective problem-solving for client or staff issues.
  • Undertake other projects and duties as reasonably assigned by the Philippine Branch office head.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • At least 4 – 6 years of experience in accounting or client servicing, with supervisory exposure.
  • Must have experience working in an auditing firm.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and client-communication skills.
