
Job Summary:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, strategy, and performance of the company's engineering and operations organization in the Philippines.
This role ensures alignment between business objectives and technology delivery, drives revenue growth, optimizes operational efficiency, and leads cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products and services. The company runs a portfolio of products on a shared agent platform; the GM is the day-to-day owner of how that organization operates, hires, and improves itself.
This is not a BPO General Manager role. You're the operating leader of a product company that happens to be distributed and will be expected to contribute to driving value creation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the company's business and technology strategy
- Identify market opportunities, partnerships, and new revenue streams, including the path from PDR (Product Development Revenue) toward UTR (Usage Token Revenue)
- Align software development initiatives with organizational goals across the company's product portfolio
2. Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Philippine office
- Establish and optimize processes, treat operating process as a product, run experiments to improve it, and reason from first principles rather than copy a framework off-the-shelf
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope, budget, and quality standards
3. Financial Management
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Monitor P&L, cost control, and profitability
- Drive pricing strategies and contract negotiations
4. Team Leadership & People Management
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing technical and managerial teams
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Oversee hiring, performance management, and organizational development
- Hire engineers and managers who use AI agents as force multipliers, and design the org around that reality. Remember: we grow by adding teams, not by making teams bigger.
5. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
- Participate in business development, sales pitches, and contract discussions
6. Product & Delivery Oversight
- Ensure successful delivery of software products and solutions across the company's portfolio built on a shared Company Agent Platform
- Oversee product lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance
- Maintain high standards for code quality, security, and scalability
7. Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify operational, technical, and financial risks
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, data security regulations, and best practices
- Implement governance frameworks and KPIs
- Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience, we filter for output, not credentials)
- 10+ years of experience in IT/software development or product-company operations, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
