Position title
Accounting/Finance Officer
Description

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepares and analyses financial statements.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Provides accurate and timely financial information to management.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develops and manages the company's budgeting process.
  • Collaborates with other departments to gather budget inputs.
  • Monitors actual financial performance against budget and provides variance analysis.

Supervision and Team Management:

  • Oversees the work of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Provides guidance, training, and support to team members.
  • Conducts performance reviews and sets goals for the team.
    Internal Controls:
  • Establishes and monitors internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Implements and maintains financial policies and procedures

Audit Coordination:

  • Coordinates and liaises with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Addresses audit findings and implement recommendations for improvement.

Cash Management:

  • Manages and optimizes cash flow to meet operational needs.
  • Monitors and reconciles bank accounts.

Tax Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with tax regulations and coordinates with external tax advisors.
  • Prepares or oversees the preparation of tax returns.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conducts financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provides insights and recommendations based on financial data.

System and Process Improvement:

  • Evaluates and enhances accounting systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and implement improvements accordingly.

Advisory Role:

  • Collaborates with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
  • Assists in strategic planning and decision-making processes

Risk Management:

  • Identifies and assess financial risks.
  • Develops strategies to mitigate financial risks.

Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines
  • BS Accountancy graduate, or preferably CPA
  • At least 5 years experience in General Accounting
  • With strong analytical skills
  • Great attention to details
  • Proficient in using accounting software
  • With excellent communication skills
  • Amenable to work as individual contributor
  • Willing to work in a start-up company and report in Makati office
