Automated Test Engineer
Description
- The role is to assist in the development and creation of an automated system and
integration tests of our products. - We are looking for a junior or mid-level Automated Test Engineer to join our team in the
Philippine office, the role involves but not limited to: - Develop and maintain automated test scripts for embedded systems, software
backend, and mobile applications. - Implement and optimize test automation for serial communication interfaces,
including VCOM (Virtual COM), UART, WiFi, and other communication protocols (CAN
Bus). - Design end-to-end system testing to validate interactions between hardware and
software. - Develop UI/UX automated test cases for web and mobile applications, ensuring a
seamless user experience. - Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline, supporting nightly builds, pull
request validations, and regression testing. - Identify areas suitable for automation and provide input into the selection of test
cases for automation. - Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects.
- Work closely with manual testers and developers to integrate automation into the
overall testing process. - Document and track defects, providing detailed information for developers to
reproduce and resolve issues. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of test scripts, test data, and test results.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines
- 5+ years of experience in test automation, including system testing and UI testing.
- Strong experience with automation tools (Docker, Jenkins, Selenium, Appium, or UFT).
- Experience with serial communication testing (VCOM, UART, WiFi, CAN, or Bluetooth) in
system integration. - Hands-on experience with Python, C# and C++ for test automation.
- Knowledge of collaboration tools (Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with cloud-based test environments and distributed test execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable automated test frameworks.
- Experience with UI/UX test automation for mobile and web applications is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing lifecycle (STLC) and testing best practices.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of automation tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willing to work on a hybrid work set-up.
