Commercial Head
Description

The Commercial Head will be responsible for driving and overseeing all commercial
activities and strategies to achieve the company's financial goals in the Philippines.
The role involves leading business development, sales, marketing, and customer
relationships while ensuring profitability and long-term business sustainability.

Business Development and Strategy

  • Lead market research and identify new business opportunities to expand the
    company’s footprint in the Philippines.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with company objectives
    to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and manage partnerships with clients, contractors, and industry
    stakeholders.

Sales Management

  • Drive the sales strategy to meet or exceed targets, ensuring strong market
    penetration and share.
  • Identify and pursue key customer accounts and manage high-level
    negotiations.
  • Establish and oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and
    reporting.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key customers, understanding their
    needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective project
    management and post-sale services.

Financial Management and Budgeting

  • Develop and manage the commercial budget, ensuring cost control and
    maximization of profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance, sales margins, and profitability, taking
    corrective action when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on pricing strategies, credit control, and risk
    management.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the commercial team to achieve set targets and
    objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify development opportunities
    for team members.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with relevant local laws, industry standards, and company
    policies.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks to protect the company’s interests.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Work closely with the engineering, procurement, and operations teams to
    align commercial activities with project delivery.
  • Report regularly to senior management on commercial activities, market
    trends, and business performance.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or
    equivalent is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in a commercial or business development role, with a
    strong background in sales and market expansion, preferably in the
    construction, steel, or related industries.
  • Proven experience in managing large accounts and driving business growth in
    the Philippines.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
    environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost
    management.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel domestically and have own vehicle.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and matrix organization.
