Position title
Production Supervisor
Description

The Production Supervisor leads day-to-day operations on the corrugator and converting lines to consistently hit output, quality, and cost targets. This role requires deep corrugated-box manufacturing experience and strong “process feel” — someone who can diagnose losses (speed, waste, downtime, quality defects), fine-tune machine settings, and coach crews to run stable, fast, and safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Execution & Output Fine-Tuning
    • Own daily production plan execution: output, schedule adherence, and line efficiency (OEE/uptime/speed).
    • Optimize machine performance through correct set-up, run parameters, and changeover discipline.
      • Troubleshoot and correct causes of low output
        a. Frequent stops, splice issues, warp, poor bonding, misfeeds, jams, inaccurate cut/score, print defects
        b. Poor changeover practices, wrong tooling, wrong adhesive/steam profiles, weak preventive maintenance follow-through
      • Drive continuous improvement on: changeover time, waste %, uptime, speed stability, and labor productivity.
      • Implement standard run conditions for each SKU (speed ranges, adhesive settings, steam/pressure targets, tooling specs).
  • Quality & Process Control
    • Ensure conformance to quality standards (ECT/BCT targets, dimensions, warp limits, print quality, joint/slot accuracy).
    • Maintain and enforce first-piece approval, in-process checks, and final inspection standards.
    • Investigate defects and drive corrective actions (root cause, containment, prevention).
    • Coordinate with QA and Maintenance to reduce repeat defects and customer complaints.
  • Team Leadership & Shift Management
    • Lead operators and helpers on shift: staffing, job assignments, training, and discipline.
    • Coach operators on proper machine set-up and fine-tuning techniques (not just running at “safe speed”).
    • Enforce 5S, housekeeping, and line organization to prevent downtime and quality issues.
    • Promote a performance culture: clear targets per shift, hourly monitoring, and structured shift handovers.
  • Maintenance Coordination & Reliability
    • Partner with Maintenance on preventive maintenance compliance and quick breakdown response.
    • Identify chronic equipment issues and push permanent fixes (not repeated patchwork).
    • Ensure lubrication, cleaning, and critical checks are done per schedule (belts, knives, bearings, steam traps, glue systems, sensors).
  • Safety, Compliance & Documentation
    • Enforce safe work practices, lockout/tagout compliance, and machine guarding requirements.
    • Lead shift safety briefings and incident investigations with corrective actions.
    • Maintain production reports: output, downtime reasons, waste, quality holds, and action logs
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines
  • Candidate must a Bachelor's degree holder
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years in production management within the corrugated packaging or related manufacturing industries.
  • In-depth understanding of the corrugated packaging market, including production processes, supply chain dynamics, and market trends
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong analytical background and a results-driven approach.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and other sales management tools.
