
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Design Lead who will define, elevate, and maintain design consistency across multiple products. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, take full ownership of design decisions, and create high-quality, user-centered designs from concept to execution. You will play a critical role in shaping cohesive user experiences across web and mobile platforms while establishing scalable design systems, including the design language for how users and AI agents collaborate inside Company products.
In Company's team model the UX Designer is embedded full-time in one team and reports to the Head of Product. As Design Lead you set the standards across teams, partner with the Head of Design on hiring, and act as a force multiplier across every product team's UX work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership & Ownership
- Own the end-to-end design process across multiple products and platforms.
- Define and enforce design standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Ensure consistency in user experience, visual design, and interaction patterns.
2. Cross-Product Design Consistency
- Build and maintain a unified design language across all Company products.
- Develop and manage a scalable design system (components, typography, color, UI patterns, agent interaction patterns).
- Conduct design audits to ensure alignment and consistency.
3. Independent Design Execution
- Translate product requirements into intuitive, elegant design solutions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs independently.
- Handle multiple design initiatives simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Use AI design tooling (image, layout, content) as part of your everyday workflow, and have a point of view on what it changes about the design role.
4. UX Strategy & User-Centered Design
- Advocate for user experience best practices and usability principles.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis.
- Iterate designs based on data, insights, and user behavior.
- Design how humans and agents interact — trust, disclosure, undo, control, escalation. This is core to every Company product.
5. Collaboration with Engineering & Product
- Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy.
- Provide design specifications and support during development.
- Ensure pixel-perfect implementation and design quality in production.
6. Design Quality & Governance
- Establish design review processes and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain documentation for design systems and guidelines.
- Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and performance considerations in design.
- Applicants must be a PERMANENT RESIDENT in the Philippines
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with leadership or ownership responsibilities.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design across web and mobile platforms.
- Experience designing for SaaS products or digital platforms.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills.
- Expertise in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar).
- Deep understanding of design systems and component-based design.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and consistency.
- A portfolio piece (or strong opinions) on designing for human-in-the-loop AI products — how the user knows what the agent did, can undo it, and trusts what it shows them.
